This is gorgeous! The soft colors, the dreamy landscape (is the water deep or just really shallow?). I love the snail pulling the cozy cart. Such a cool idea and beautifully designed.
Also really nice of you to share the progress!

Many thanks fren
Wahaha this picture is too pink for me xD
I do love the different textures in the clothing. They complement each other super well!
haha thanks! I do love pink, though uwu. Pink and mint or peach and forest green, I'm all in!
Woah these are amazing! I'm glad you are posting these <3
Your coloring has so much depth to it and it looks very realistic. I think it's fantastic that you do traditional and digital art. I think my favorite one is the pirate character. The most impressive one is the first one, the dog. Do your cats sleep in your plant pots? Haha :P Did you use a gel pen or something to draw the white lines? They're so thin - doing that with a brush so consistently is super difficult.
haha thanks!! <3 None of the animals are my own, these were all paid commissions by other people. For the white on the pot, I used a white gel pen :D
Amazing lighting! So purrrrrfect ;P
I love cats! I'm planning on getting a cat once I'm settled into my new home (it's gonna take a while though... lots of stuff to fix). How old is your cat now? What's his name?
Cats are a gift <3 I have 7 and it's cuddle time 24/7 (I'm not a hoarder, I'm a rescuer/foster lmao)
His name is Mr.Prime Minister Boopliboo hahaha (Boopi, Baba, Bubu, Bubbie, Peepoo for short) and he's two years old :D
Wah this artwork is crazy good! It is so detailed! The tree is absolutely gorgeous and it has so much depth. I find it so funny that the setting is so serene and then you look closer and see the sign 'go away'. Brilliant :P
Thanks for the tip, I'll checked James Julier's youtube channel real quickly and it looks great. I'll take a better look when I have more headspace~!
Dang it, I accidentally deleted the rest of my response xD
Hope you get better soon :) He's really fun and relaxing to follow. Thanks for the compliment and kind words! ^^
and I'm a hermit so I thought I'd put in a hermit touch hahah
Woah that's wicked! Great composition and so many details. I'm impressed!
Thanks XD
Cool work! I love the casual pose and that smile. He looks very handsome haha. I love how you drew the hair! What kind of brushes do you use? You have a lot of texture going on <3
Thank you so much! <3
I used the 6B brush on 'vintage sketch pad'* for drawing, coloring, smudging and erasing all on different opacities and strengths. I shade in gray and smudge a lot on the first layer (set to normal) then layer on soft light and multiply layers, and finally I use a normal layer to add more highlights/shades/detail :D
There are other brushes that I use, however not on this piece, the set is called kolormarc and it's by 'True Grit', you really should try them, they're such a game changer!
*(comic paper set from 'True Grit' but you can mimic the texture by creating 2 layers: One black and one white. On the black, use a medium gray and create some grains-they should be barely visible- and set that layer to 'screen', on the white layer, do the same but with brown ochre and/or light brown and set it to multiply, place the black layer over the white)
I hope this helps <3
Edit: the company is called 'True Grit', sorry, I'm scatterbrained xD. 'Rusty Nib' is a set of gorgeous pen-like brushes that they also sell :3
Gorgeous landscape! Lately I notice that when I browse in fresh I often end up clicking on your art :D
Hopefully ill be posting every day this October. glad youre enjoying it. tho the paintings arnt my usual content.
Sorry to hear you're going through a tough time. I'm glad art helps you! If you need to talk feel free to message me!
As for the art, great work! It evokes sadness and loneliness very well. I find it interesting that you kept the background white. When I draw sad pictures I usually end up with a dark background :P But the way you drew it shows the dark lines around the character, adding the gloom!
I'm glad you like the art :) I wanted to keep the bg white to contrast with my lil rendition of me. And thank you for the offer to message you :)
I love this! Such beautiful scenery with a ton of detail. The atmosphere is lovely and I wonder where they are traveling to. Perhaps the city in the background ;) You're good at drawing plants! I'm faving it!
Thankyou! Plants became my happy place to draw <3
I'm a hobby artist and it's fun to be part of a creative community. I'm challenging myself to go out of my comfort zone, with art and other areas of my life. I'm usually up for a chat so feel free to message me~!
