[Paintober Day 4]

Lovely work! I like how you've drawn the plants: big brush strokes and then smaller and lighter. There's a lot of depth to this piece. If I may, some edges seem to blend a bit too much into each other, for example the ground adjacent to the tower. Sharp edges, especially in the foreground, will help define the shapes more :)

Is it your own design and did you use reference photos for this piece? Just curious!

So far all these pieces have been from ref. I may do some freehand stuff later in the month if I feel like I can manage it but for now I'm working off reference.

Beautiful work! You put so much effort into getting the feathery textures. The eye really draws attention :)

Woah this is gorgeous! I absolutely love the design, so vibrant and magical (love what you did with the skin colors, flowing from purple to blue to a bit greenish).

I love to read fantasy books, but I haven't heard from Wings of Fire yet! What do you like about the books?

I loved the familiarity I had with the storytelling presented on the books, because of how much it reminded me of one of my favourite literary series ever, Warrior Cats. Also, I simply feel atracted towards to endless possibilities that the universe offers with it's diverse magic world. :3

Thank you tons! I wasn't really sure of how good it would end up looking, due to the scarcity of textures and colors I had available to use on the artwork. It's really comforting to know that at the end it works good enough on itself. :)

[My First Cauldron]

That is absolutely adorable! I love the viewer's angle, it makes her look even younger and cuter. As a viewer you're immediately drawn to those huge eyes, partly because of the high contrast of her face vs the hat. The atmosphere is great and I love all the little things in the background.

I'm just curious, is the cat supposed to not have rim light? The light is coming from above the cat, not behind. So in that sense I would say no. But the same would go for the basket next to the cat. Hmm and then there is bounce light (from the sunlight on the floor). I'm just trying to learn, I'd love to hear your thoughts on this! Thanks you <3

Such a lovely composition! Everyone looking to the left, ready for battle. All the composition lines are also angled downwards to the left. They're definitely ready for battle!

I love your coloring style as well. It has depth to it! It reminds me a bit of my style, but yours is a ton cleaner! It's nice to see how anime styled characters can be drawn like this. Thanks for the inspiration! I"m going to take a look a the rest of your art :3

This is amazing! So much emotion in this piece. Great work on the shading, the huge contrasts make it pop so much. I must admit that I cant determine whether it's traditional or digital..? :)
